A 19th century vintage creamware fruit bowl with flanking handles depicting lion heads with rings. A lovely openwork border surmounts the upper edge of the bowl.

Creamware was popular in Europe during the mid-19th century and was produced by various workshops in Italy where it was known as ‘terraglia inglese’ or ‘creta all'uso inglese’ or ‘earthenware in the English manner.’
